でも、ジーコ監督の母国語はポルトガル語だ。つまりＢＢＣの記事も翻訳だ。本当にジーコ監督が英語で「crime」に相当するポルトガル語を使ったと言えるのかは、これだけではわからない。「YouTube」を見ても、俺はポルトガル語を理解できないのでわからない。正否は定かでないが、ＢＢＣが正しいという判断を簡単にすることはできない。

ＢＢＣが「3pm」としているところが「three o'clock」となっているだけで、同じだ。ところが、「YouTube」での英語の通訳は、英語が苦手な俺が聞いても、これとは完全に一致しない。これがどういうことかと言えば、元記事がロイターで、それをＢＢＣが引用したということだろう。逆の可能性もあるかもしれないけど、「three o'clock」と言ってるのだけは俺でも聞き取れるので、ほぼ間違いない。（なぜブログ記事で、ＢＢＣばっかりが引用されていて、Reutersの記事が引用されていないのかつうと、要するに又聞きしたものをそのまま使っているからだろう）
で、要するに、ジーコ監督のテレビのインタビューでの発言を通訳が英語に翻訳し、それをReutersが記事にして、さらにそれをＢＢＣが記事にしたという流れになっているのだろう。だから、肝心なのは英語の通訳がポルトガル語をどれだけ忠実に翻訳したかってことだ。
それについては、俺の能力ではどうすることもできない。
